I can't believe that no one would have thought of this before, but is there any reason we don't have something set up to alert us when someone comes through the rift? Some sort of motion-sensor, or a bell like a shop entrance? So far, finding new arrivals has been mostly happenstance.

Good question. I can see if I can rig something up, provided I can get my hands on the right equipment.

That is an excellent idea. I think I might have some motion detectors somewhere; I was out getting some security devices for my husband when I came through. I'll go check. :)

I'm a little busy right now, but when I have some free time I can take a look at it. It shouldn't be too difficult to manage. If you like, I can get you something that will alert you specifically - some sort of wrist watch device or pendant or whatever you'd prefer. Of course, there's a good chance someone else will get to it first, in which case, they can let me know if they need my help! :)
